I have known Richard for many years. In 2003/5 he was Captain of my 62 foot Dynamique, sailing her from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean and many, many other places afterwards. Apart from daily maintenance and management, Richard was closely involved in numerous major improvements and difficult installations. In 2006 I took over the running of the yacht but frequently met Richard whilst on deliveries and running other yachts. His experience of many types of boats is enormous, his knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems is vast, his experience of passages, weather and sailing hazards would fill a library and importantly, he is great fun to sail with. His spicy prawns know no equal and his Pina Coladas have saved many a crew from despair.'
